The default colour space the P20 colour palette is delivered in is sRGB, – in PDF and ASE format.
See supported colour spaces for your sRGB P20o colour palette here.
The colours of this palette are suited for designers in all categories of design as well as prepress specialists interested in studying SMS colours.
The colours, delivered in sRGB format, can easily be converted to other colour spaces, such as REC 709, REC 2020, P3, Adobe RGB or CMYK for printing on coated and uncoated paper in a few simple steps. The Home & Office colours are suited for digital displays capable of displaying the P60 colour gamut.

In case you are wondering what the P60 colour gamut is, it is the gamut that even cheaper PC laptop displays cover (approx. 60% of the sRGB colour gamut / approx. 45% of the NTSC colour gamut), so these colours are perfect if you would like your colours to be correctly displayed on a maximum of digital displays, regardless of quality, – plus of course they can also be printed in standard CMYK on both coated and uncoated paper.
To view SMS colours correctly on your display, you need to calibrate it with a screen calibrator, such as either the Calibrite or Spyder screen calibrators, that you can order from Spot-Nordic or buy them locally. You can also order the official Spot-Nordic P60 laptop on the same site (the laptop we used to create the SMS Standard and MAX Home & Office colour palettes).
The basic idea behind the Spot Matching System is that you create your design in sRGB first, present it to your customer (who can simply view your artwork on his laptop or his smart device) and once approved, if you need to print your SMS colours you either convert your sRGB SMS colours to CMYK yourself, or order the print variations from support@spotmatchingsystem.com.
For basic information to get started designing with media neutral SMS colours, please refer to www.spotmatchingsystem.com/info.
This colour palette includes lifetime access to technical support and services by Spot-Nordic for services and proofs where colours from the respective colour palette are used.
Designers and design agencies can also register individual brand logos and brand colours with Spot-Nordic, where colours from the respective SMS colour palette are used. To register a brand, a copy of the brand colours and key artwork (logo etc.) along with the full name of the customer/brand/company should be sent to support@spotmatchingsystem.com with the SMS colour patches in bitmap sRGB format and preferably the SMS colours in ASE palette format.
If more than one Designer/Agency is working on behalf of the same brand, we will keep the accounts and SMS graphic files separate.
Spot-Nordic is not responsible for informing brand owners, designers or agencies about discrepancies in brand colours for the same brand except in the case where the brand is an SMS subscriber.
Feel free to contact support@spotmatchingsystem.com at any time. You may also place your order there. We will need your company name and full address for invoicing, along with an email address for invoicing and optionally an email address for technical support.
